Leaving a job of c-suite can be very hard. Lot of things that seems certain to my life to give up. Yet, embracing the unknown for a gut feeling of making impacts to the lives of others is simply something too strong to ignore.
Through steer determination and the unwavering belief of the power of play-based learning methodologies as a Lead Trainer of the LEGO(R) Six Bricks and its usefulness in enhancing learning of students in primary and secondary schools and institute of higher learning, I have systematically managed to make in road in convincing schools and teachers on how these play-based learning strategies can be applied effectively in their classroom (e.g., in enhancing student’s executive functioning skills and deepening their subject learning).
Combining my experiences in designing and running successful large scale LEGO(R) Six Bricks for pre-schools, primary schools and ITE programmes for students, it goes without saying how grateful I am to be able to win a hard fought ITQ to have the chance to design and run a play-based learning programme for 100 teachers of Lianhua Primary School.
It is like a dream comes true and a day that reminded me how living a life of purpose and meaning even though it is filled with uncertainty can be so much fun and joy.
I don’t think I can go back to my old life of certainty now … the coddiwompling journey of LEGO(R) Six Bricks continues.
